Papia Ghoshal is an internationally acclaimed painter who also made her name as a unique actress. Born in West Bengal/India she travels a lot and has her homes in Europe and India as well.

In her paintings she is continuously breaking taboos and crossing boundaries by painting with her own menstruational blood and semen and viewing topics as Indian mythology and sexuality from new angles. She has contributed remarkably with her various art forms and expressions over the past years. She has a wide range of collectors, fans and followers all over the world. Papia travels extensively to understand, smell and witness the soil of various countries and their people.

Papia Ghoshal can look back at an uncounted number of paintings, seven published poetry books and many international awards. She has fans and collectors of her art all over the world.

Also her acting in the field of Indian independent cinema is boundary breaking. Having sympathy for outsiders of the society, she not just accidentally played characters of prostitutes in the films 'Kantatar' and 'Cosmic sex'. In the latter, she broke another taboo for Indian cinema by showing her naked breasts, which has been done only rarely before. And the amazing thing is: her performance in that film is not simply sexy. The way she breastfeeds the young protagonist is seductive but motherly at the same time! By the way: her boobs are not just large but extremely beautiful.

Apart from this legendary role, Papia has acted in the Kerala film "Marubhagam", directed by Dr. Sunil S., and in "Nabarun", directed by Qaushik Mukherjee. With her unique acting and her voluptuous curves she has added a special dimension to these movies. One legend about Sophia Loren says that the camera men always had problems having her beautiful face and her enormous boobs in focus at the same time – we are sure that it is the same with Papia Ghoshal!

Papia's beauty has been a source of inspiration for several photographers. Nemai Ghosh, one of India's leading artists, since years is documenting her life. Currently she is working as the central force in William Poltikovic's documentary film "Tantra, Road to Unity", a film about her journey and roots to Tantra. It is being co-produced by the Czech TV.
