Megan Denise Fox (born May 16, 1986) is an American actress and model. She began her acting career in 2001 with several minor television and film roles, and played a recurring role on the ABC sitcom series Hope & Faith. In 2004, she launched her film career with a role in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.

Career

In 2001, Fox made her acting debut in the romantic comedy Holiday in the Sun, as spoiled heiress Brianna Wallace and rival of Alex Stewart (Ashley Olsen), which was released direct-to-DVD on November 20, 2001. In the next several years, she guest-starred on the sitcoms What I Like About You and Two and a Half Men. Fox also appeared as an uncredited extra in the action film Bad Boys II (2003).

In 2007, she was cast as Mikaela Banes, the love interest of Shia LaBeouf's character in the blockbuster film Transformers which became her breakout role. Fox reprised her role in the 2009 sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Later in 2009, she starred as the titular lead character in the film Jennifer's Body. She also starred as April O'Neil in the superhero action film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and its sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016), and appeared in the fifth and sixth seasons of the Fox TV sitcom series New Girl (2016–2017).

Described as a sex symbol, Fox has made appearances in numerous magazines such as Maxim, Rolling Stone, and FHM.[1][2] She has received two Scream Awards and four Teen Choice Awards.

In 2023, Fox was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.[3] Fox played a crime boss Alana in the 2023 thriller film Johnny & Clyde with Tyson Ritter.[4] Fox played Gina in the fourth Expendables film released in September of the same year.

In November 2023, Fox released her first book titled Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,[5] a collection of her own poetry.

Personal life

Fox married her on-off boyfriend, former 90210 cast member Brian Austin Green on June 24, 2010. The couple have two sons together: Noah Shannon (March 2012) and Bodhi Ransom (February 12, 2014). Fox is also stepmom to Kassius (born 2002), Green's son from a previous relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil.

Fox and Green later announced their separation in May 2020, and Fox subsequently became engaged to rapper / musician Machine Gun Kelly in January 2022.[6] In 2020, shortly after her divorce from Green, she and Kelly had went public about their relationship several weeks after the release of Machine Gun Kelly's song "Bloody Valentine", whose music video features Fox.[7]

Fox came out as bisexual in May 2009 after a GQ article wrote about Fox's desire to seek a relationship with a female stripper that she loved when she was 18 years old. Oddly, Fox has also stated that despite being bisexual, she would never date another bisexual female because "they also sleep with men and men are so dirty that I'd never want to sleep with a girl who had slept with a man."
