Karrine Steffans, born August 24, 1978, is an American author. She has also worked as a hip hop model and as an actress.

Model

In May 2006, Steffans appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show in a segment titled "Smart Women on Stupid Girls." The press release about her appearance said she "was 21 years old when she made her video debut. She danced in videos alongside some of the biggest artists in the industry, including Jay-Z, R. Kelly and LL Cool J. She quickly became a full time booty-shaking, breast-baring dancer— but success came at a price."

Author

Karrine Steffans' books, Confessions of a Video Vixen (2005), The Vixen Diaries (2007), and The Vixen Manual: How to Find, Seduce & Keep the Man You Want (2009), have all made The New York Times Best Seller list.

Upon publishing Confessions of a Video Vixen with HarperCollins Publishers, Steffans departed on a promotional tour and has been interviewed by journalists such as Bill O'Reilly, Geraldo Rivera, Donny Deutsch, and others. Entering The New York Times Best Seller list at number seven and peaking at number five, Confessions stayed on the list for over twenty weeks in hardcover and spent several more weeks on the list a year and a half later in paperback.

The Vixen Diaries, published by Grand Central Publishing/Hachette Book Group USA (formerly Warner Books), yet again received a positive response, entering The New York Times Best Seller's list at number six in the politically charged fall of 2007, even ahead of Bill Clinton's latest book.According to the publisher, The Vixen Diaries read much differently than Confessions of a Video Vixen as it told the story of "a woman on the mend, working her way through a less than savory past and into a brighter future."

In 2009, she stated that "there will be no more autobiographies" and that she would, instead, write "manuals."

The Vixen Manual: How to Find, Seduce & Keep the Man You Want was first announced on The Today Show the morning of July 13, 2009 and subsequently entered the How-To/Self-Help New York Times best sellers list the following week at number seven.

A publication date for a fourth book, tentatively titled SatisFaction: Erotic Fantasies for the Advanced & Adventurous Couple, is yet to be determined.

In 2010, Steffans entered into a business partnership with Larry Flynt Publications and the Hustler Hollywood retail chain, whereby the retailer would carry her books in stores around the country and online. Steffans has also taken the position of "Hustler’s resident sex and intimacy consultant and couples' course instructor" and will teach at the monthly couples courses held at Hustler stores nationwide. On February 9, 2010, Hustler's flagship store, on Sunset Strip, revealed The Vixen Manual Pleasure Pack, a product bundle consisting of her bestselling books and several Hustler sex aid products.

Also in 2010, Steffans announced on her website that she signed a development deal with Fox Television Studios for a scripted dramedy based on The Vixen Manual.

While she was stripping, she met and started dating Kool G Rap in October 1995, she was just seventeen at the time. Two months later they got engaged, and was married in January 1996. Steffans claims that the rapper was abusive throughout their marriage. However, they manage to have a son together named Naiim, who was born on the 19 January 1998.
