Career

June Mack began having injections to increase the size of her breasts, sculpt her face and reshape her lower torso [1], and was then spotted by Russ Meyer who cast her in Up! and Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens.

Later on, she began working as a sex worker in Hollywood. She advertised herself as a phone sex operator, but some claim she was also a prostitute or even a madam. [1]

According to the "new" Russ Meyer biography by Jimmy McDonough (Big Bosoms and Square Jaws - The Biography of Russ Meyer) she "was murdered not long after making Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens. According to (Roger) Ebert, a drug dealer was going to shoot her boyfriend. "She stood in front of the guy to protect him and took the bullet." [2]

However, the American cable channel Court TV covered the case and revealed the case was not actively investigated due to its low profile. Alas, almost a decade later the same multiple murderers were involved in a celebrity murder trial. The resulting plea burgains convicted them of June's assassination. It was revealed her "boyfriend" was just her friend and that she herself was indeed the target of the assassination. It turned out she harassed a young client who met up with her in person only to reject her for her looks. His rich family then hired a firm whose workers resorted to murder. [1]

In 1997, their appeal was denied. [3]
