Ulla (short for Ulla Dessous) is a family-run German lingerie manufacturer specialised in big sizes.
Although the brand name Ulla is also a German women's first name, it has its origin in the municipality of Unterleinach (Lower Leinach) where the company was established. Founder Gerhard Weidauer and his wife first thought of the name "Uleina" as an abbreviation of "Unterleinach", but the idea was later given up in favour of the simpler form "Ulla".[1]
