Nathalie Joanne Emmanuel (born 2 March 1989 in Southend-on-Sea) is a British actress best known for her role as Missandei, personal servant to Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO television series, Game of Thrones.
Her first major television break came as the star of a summer Vodafone advertisement while she worked at a bank. She also played Nala in the West End production of The Lion King alongside Pippa Bennett-Warner and Dominique Moore.
Emmanuel attended Westcliff High School for Girls from the age of 12. She has a sister, Louise, who was in the 2002 final of Stars in Their Eyes Kids and is currently a member of UK girlgroup Fuzion.
In 2007, Emmanuel presented the award for 'Best R & B Act' at the MOBO Awards alongside Martin Offiah. She also presented an award at the 2008 Urban Music Awards.
Emmanuel is currently in a relationship with ex-Hollyoaks and Kerching actor, Devon Anderson who played Billie Jackson in EastEnders. They have been together for 3 and a half years and met on the set of Hollyoaks while playing on-screen brother and sister.
