Catherine Tyldesley (born 1983 in Salford, Greater Manchester) is an English actress, known for portraying Iris Moss in Lilies and Eva Price in Coronation Street from 2011.
Tyldesley is from Walkden, Greater Manchester. She attended St. George's RC High School and Pendleton College before training at the Birmingham School of Acting (formerly the Birmingham School of Speech & Drama), graduating in 2005.
She currently divides her time between Walkden and London.
Tyldesley's television credits include The Street, Holby City, Sorted, Florence Nightingale and Red Riding. She played the lead role of Iris Moss in the Liverpool-set BBC One drama Lilies. She also appeared in the comedy pilot Guantanamo Phil, part of the Channel 4 Comedy Showcase 2009.
In 2010, Tyldesley played the role of Abi Peterson in Emmerdale for two months. On 4 May 2011, it was revealed that Tyldesley had been cast as Eva in Coronation Street.
Tyldesley reputedly, has a good ear for accents and sings mezzo-soprano. She has also modelled for the House of Fraser.
